Kenilworth Homestead is located two hours north of Brisbane in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, and can be accessed via the Bruce Highway to Kenilworth Road.
Last century, Kenilworth Homestead was part of a sprawling 10,000 hectare cattle station. Today, the property covers just fifty hectares with a kilometre long frontage on the Mary River, and is open to the public for a range of activities, including horse-riding, swimming, canoeing, gold-panning, wildlife spotting, orienteering and, of course, camping.
The river is an attractive feature for campers and the most popular tent sites are along the bank. Dogs are allowed and you can have open fires. There are no man-made facilities along the riverbank but campers can use toilets, showers, barbecues and other amenities near the homestead complex.
We are available for school camps, church or community groups, weddings, birthday parties, general camping and conferences. Camping is available at any time during the school holidays, and from Friday afternoon till Monday morning during the rest of the year.
Camping costs $7 per person per night and trail rides are $40 per person.
We also provide luxury Bed & Breakfasts and farm cottages.
